Governor Mutfwang Charges Pilgrims to focus on Spiritual Benefits

Intending Pilgrims from Plateau State have been admonished to make their pilgrimage trip a personal experience than a congregational journey. 

Governor Caleb Mutfwang made the call during a Farewell Ceremony of the 2024 Spill Over to 2025 Main Pilgrimage for the states' Christian Pilgrimage, held at the Church of Christ In All Nation's, COCIN Headquarters Church, Jos. 

Governor Caleb Mutfwang while making an illustration with the Biblical story of Anna's encounter with God during Israel's Shiloh event, charged the pilgrims to let it be a platform for them to have a personal encounter with the saviour. 

He urged them to be tolerant of each other during the Holy trip and to ensure they propagate the gospel of Christ in the course of the exercise. 

Governor Mutfwang also used the occasion to intimate people that, Government was putting in place measures towards upgrading the Jos Airport to enable it airlift pilgrims directly to the Holy Land, hence implored them to commit such projects into prayers. 

Earlier, Chairman of the State Christian Pilgrimage Board, Reverend Jwan Zhumbes attributed the issue of Spill over of the Pilgrims to the unfortunate events enfolding from the Middle-East, however noted that the essence of the exercise is to give them an opportunity to physically see and fell what they have being taught from the scriptures. 

 speaking on the topic, New Jerusalem Weather, Reverend Associate Professor Caleb Dami, charged them to concentrate on the spiritual benefits of the pilgrimage and to ensure they come back as better version of themselves spiritually. 

Our correspondent reports that highpoint of the event was a special prayer for the pilgrims by the States' Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Chairman, Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo as over 200 pilgrims are expected to perform the pilgrimage in this batch.
