The Alago Nation has officially launched a high-stakes political mobilization movement, the "AA to AA Alago Agenda 2027," designed to consolidate grassroots support across Alago communities for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada’s 2027 gubernatorial bid.

The movement was unveiled during a stakeholders' engagement and inauguration ceremony held in Lafia on Saturday, where state, local government, and ward coordinators were sworn in to spearhead its activities across Nasarawa State.

The initiative drew a cross-section of prominent Alago sons and daughters from across the state. The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Ibrahim Sarki, chairs the movement, while Dr. Osolafia Egyegbola serves as Convener.

Speaking at the event, stakeholders hailed the emergence of the movement as strategic and overdue, emphasizing that the Alago Nation holds a pivotal position in the state’s political calculus. They underscored the urgency for the Alago people to unite, harness their numerical strength, and deploy their grassroots networks to back Senator Wadada, whom they described as a detribalized leader with the vision to drive inclusive growth and protect the collective interests of all Nasarawa communities.

Inaugurating the new leadership structure, Hon. Ibrahim Sarki noted that the Alago Nation has every incentive to sustain its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in Nasarawa State, pointing to the strategic political appointments currently occupied by Alago sons and daughters. He vowed to personally steer the movement to success and reassured members of his unwavering backing throughout the mobilization phase.

Demonstrating his personal commitment, the Revenue Board Chairman donated N10 million to kickstart the movement's activities. He further called on members to remain cohesive and laser-focused on their shared objectives.

The momentum drew additional financial backing from other political leaders and government officials:

· Rt. Hon. Mohammed Adamu Oyanki, Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly – N1 million

· Executive Chairmen of Doma and Keana Local Government Councils – N500,000 each

· Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning – N200,000

· Commissioner, Nasarawa State Boundary Commission – N100,000

The inauguration marks the official commencement of a structured, bottom-up mobilization campaign across Alago communities. The newly appointed coordinators are tasked with establishing and reinforcing the movement’s presence at state, LGA, and ward levels.

According to organizers, the movement will prioritize grassroots engagement, political sensitization, voter education, and the coordination of Alago community networks as the state gears up for the 2027 general elections.
