Jema'a LG Boss Hails Governor Uba Sani's "Education First" Agenda as Enrollment Campaign Kicks Off

The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Honourable Peter Tanko Dogara, has praised Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for his transformative policies aimed at revitalizing the state's education sector.

Dogara gave the commendation on [Insert Day of Week] during the flag-off ceremony of the Enrollment Campaign and Sensitization Walk, organized by the Department of Social Mobilization of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KASUBEB) in Jema’a. The event was held at the Emir of Jema’a’s Palace in Kafanchan.

Represented by the Vice Chairman, Honourable Emmanuel Utung, Dogara noted that basic education development is a cornerstone of the five-point agenda for his administration. He lauded the Governor’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that all necessary infrastructure and systems are in place to secure a brighter future for the state's children.

"Governor Uba Sani believes that every child deserves to be in school," the Vice Chairman stated on behalf of the Chairman, appealing to parents and stakeholders to ensure no child is left behind in obtaining a basic education.

In his remarks, the Jema’a Local Government Education Secretary, Mr. Tyen Dogara Audu, also expressed gratitude to the Governor and the LG Chairman for their significant achievements, particularly in education. He described the government's interventions as "humongous and glaring" and pledged the community’s continued support. Audu further thanked the Executive Chairman of KASUBEB, Mallam Muhammad Mubarak, for his legendary contributions to the sector, while urging guardians to return out-of-school children to the classroom, emphasizing that education is the bedrock of society.

Earlier, the Head of the Department of Social Mobilization for Jema’a LGA, Mrs. Hassana J. Aku, welcomed attendees and explained that the campaign was organized in line with Governor Sani’s directive to rid the streets of out-of-school children. She highlighted several innovations implemented by the government to ensure quality education is accessible to all and urged everyone to enroll every child, regardless of their circumstances.

The Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, represented by the Dagachin Gabas, Alhaji Usman Ibrahim Cheche, also spoke at the event. He called on his subjects to support the government's educational drive and thanked both the Governor and the LG Chairman for their quality leadership.

The event featured a symbolic awareness walk from the Emir’s Palace to the Kafanchan main market, where pupils from Model Primary School Takau staged a drama on the importance of education. The walk concluded at the NEPA roundabout in Kafanchan.

Dignitaries in attendance included: Traditional rulers, security personnel, politicians, local government council members, SUBEB representatives, education authority staff, parents, pupils, out-of-school children, and members of the general public.
