Plateau Governor Urges Muslims to Sustain Virtues of Ramadan, Calls for Unity

PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA – Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, calling for sustained peace and unity across the state and Nigeria at large.

In a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the Governor commended Muslims for their devotion and sacrifice during the holy month of Ramadan. He encouraged them to uphold the values of love, peace, charity, tolerance, and unity beyond the fasting period.

“I heartily rejoice with the Muslim Ummah on this special occasion, which reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice and total submission to the will of God Almighty. As you celebrate, I encourage everyone to reflect on the values of love, charity, and selflessness, and to work collectively towards building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Plateau State,” Mutfwang said.

The Governor called on the faithful to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s leaders, seeking divine wisdom to guide responsive and people-oriented governance. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusivity, assuring citizens of sustained efforts to protect lives and property, improve welfare, and promote development across all communities.

He also advised Hajj pilgrims sponsored by the state government to serve as worthy ambassadors and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of Plateau State and the nation.

Governor Mutfwang urged all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to unite in pursuit of lasting peace, respect for the rule of law, and support for policies aimed at fostering economic growth and social development.
