NASHIA Leadership Emphasizes Quality and Growth During Keffi Office Visit

KEFFI – Leadership of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) has called on staff to redouble their efforts in delivering quality healthcare services to beneficiaries across the state.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Yahaya Bawa Ubam, delivered the charge during an unscheduled visit to the agency’s Keffi zonal office on February 5, 2026. The visit coincided with the conclusion of a series of staff training workshops held across the state's three senatorial districts.

Represented by the Director of Service and Quality Control, Pharmacist Kudu Maikudi, Dr. Ubam underscored the critical role of adherence to standards. "The consistent application of our quality assurance manuals is fundamental to our effective operation and the trust placed in us by the people," he stated.

He further emphasized the necessity of robust program supervision to promptly identify and address challenges encountered by enrollees.

The Deputy Director of Marketing and Business Development, Mallam Usman, outlined strategic priorities for expansion. He stressed the importance of cultivating strong partnerships with donors to advance progress toward Universal Health Coverage in Nasarawa State.

Other officers, including Mr. Ampule Abdullahi, Mr. Musa Aliyu, and Moses Abari, also presented insights during the engagement.

NASHIA continues to pursue an ambitious growth strategy, aiming to enrol 500,000 residents by 2027. To date, the agency has registered over 242,946 individuals, covering approximately 9% of the state's population.
