Zamfara First Lady Congratulates Remi Tinubu on Traditional Yoruba Title

The wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has extended her congratulations to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, following her installation as Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The recognition was conferred as part of the 10th coronation anniversary celebrations of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II. The event drew traditional rulers, senior government officials, and other dignitaries from across Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Press Secretary of the Zamfara First Lady’s Office, Rabi Yusuf, Hajiya Huriyya described the honour as well-deserved. She noted that it reflects Senator Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to national development, advocacy for women, and her contributions to strengthening families and communities through humanitarian and policy-based initiatives.
The First Lady of Zamfara also commended the Ooni for selecting Senator Tinubu for the revered title, stating that the decision acknowledges her leadership, influence, and enduring service to the nation.
Hajiya Huriyya emphasized that the choice underscores the important role traditional institutions play in recognizing dedicated public service. She further praised the Ooni’s ongoing efforts to preserve Nigeria’s cultural heritage and promote unity through traditional leadership.
The installation ceremony showcased the richness of Yoruba culture and reinforced the continuing relevance of traditional institutions in fostering national cohesion and pride.
