Emir of Jama'a Confers Prestigious Titles on Deborah Usman, Former Governor, Senator in Peace-Building Ceremony

Kafanchan, Kaduna state - The Emir of Jama'a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, has conferred traditional titles on three distinguished personalities in a ceremony at his palace in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

Barrister Deborah Usman was turbaned as the Jaruman Jama'a, a title of honor and advocacy. She was joined by His Excellency, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, the former Governor of Kaduna State and Dallatun Zazzau, who was installed as the Sardaunan Jama'a, and Senator Danjuma Tella La'ah, Shettima Kagoro, who became the Majikiran Jama'a.

During the weekend event, the Emir charged the new titleholders to leverage their influential positions to champion peace, unity, and development within southern Kaduna and the wider Emirate. He explained that the honors were in recognition of their dedicated efforts and hard work in promoting peace and progress across communities in the Kaduna South Senatorial District.

In her remarks at a reception following the ceremony, Barrister Deborah Usman expressed profound gratitude to the Emir for selecting her for the Jaruman Jama'a title from among many deserving women. She reaffirmed her commitment to fostering peace and unity and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that drive meaningful development.

The Jaruman Jama’a also used the opportunity to encourage women everywhere to support government policies and constituted authorities, helping to curb negative influences—particularly among the youth—and to build a more just, prosperous, and harmonious society.

The gathering stood as a testament to the Emir's commitment to honoring individuals who have contributed significantly to the Emirate's and state's growth. Various speakers praised the new titleholders for their dedication to public service and urged them to continue their efforts for the betterment of their communities.
