Southern Kaduna Group Rallies Behind Senator Katung, Decries “Divisive” Criticism

A media coalition known as the Sunday Marshall Katung (SMK) Media group has condemned recent criticism directed at Senator Sunday Marshal Katung, describing it as the work of individuals falsely claiming to represent wider community interests.

In a statement issued today, the group asserted that residents of Southern Kaduna are growing increasingly intolerant of efforts to undermine their elected officials. It praised the Senator’s record, stating he “has been working tirelessly” to advance the region’s development.

SMK Media characterized recent critical commentaries as attempts to distort public perception and sow division. It called on youth organizations and community leaders to focus instead on “constructive engagement, meaningful dialogue, and collective progress.”

“Southern Kaduna deserves better. We stand in solidarity with Senator Katung and reject any attempt to malign his character or reputation,” the statement read.

The coalition further warned against what it termed narrative hijacking, affirming that the people of Southern Kaduna remain united in supporting efforts to foster growth and development in the area.
