Sen. Katung Condemns Zonkwa Police Division Attack, Mourns Fallen Officers

KADUNA – Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South, has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Zonkwa Police Division in the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
In a press statement issued today, Senator Katung expressed his profound sadness over the incident, which resulted in the tragic loss of two police officers.
"I received with deep sadness the report of the attack on Zonkwa Police Division, which tragically claimed the lives of two gallant police officers," the Senator stated.
He described the assault as a "wicked, barbaric, and reprehensible" act that constitutes a dangerous affront against the nation's security personnel. He emphasized that these officers work under difficult and excruciating circumstances to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
"I am pained by this dastardly act and urge our security agencies to deploy every available resource to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are brought to justice without delay," he added.
Senator Katung extended his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased officers and the entire Nigeria Police Force. He prayed for God to grant the departed eternal rest and their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The lawmaker called on residents of Zonkwa and surrounding communities to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative with security agencies as they work to track down the perpetrators.
