Beware of Serial 'Sextortionist' Targeting Nigerian Elites - Activist Group Warns

ABUJA – The Peoples Alliance for Integrity and Accountability (PAIA) has issued a public warning concerning the alleged resurgence of a serial blackmailer and sextortionist, identified as Ms. Destiny Thomas.

At a press briefing on Friday, PAIA's spokesperson, Mr. Oscar Ebri, stated the group has received "disturbing reports" of renewed extortion attempts and false accusations linked to Ms. Thomas. He claimed she lures prominent men into compromising situations to extort money and damage their reputations.

"This is not an isolated incident," Mr. Ebri asserted. "We have documented a consistent pattern of deceit and blackmail that has become a growing menace, largely facilitated through social and digital platforms."

The group alleges that Ms. Thomas's latest schemes are more coordinated and specifically target individuals in positions of influence. PAIA also reiterated previous claims of her involvement in similar controversies, referencing alleged disciplinary actions during her time at Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria.

Mr. Ebri called on law enforcement to intensify investigations and urged public figures to exercise extreme caution in their online interactions. "We advise all professionals to be vigilant and to report any suspicious behavior to the authorities immediately," he said.

Attempts to contact Ms. Destiny Thomas for comment were unsuccessful, as calls and messages to her phone line were not answered before this report was filed.
