Gov Sule, Adamu Inspect Hajj Facilities in Mina, Arafat; Urge Pilgrims to Pray for Nigeria

Ahead of the 2025 Hajj, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule and the State Amirul Hajj, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, have called on pilgrims to pray for the nation’s unity and leaders during the spiritual exercise.

The duo made the appeal during an inspection tour of tents and facilities in Mina and Arafat ahead of pilgrims' arrival in Makkah.

Governor Sule stated that the visit was aimed at assessing the level of preparedness by the State Pilgrims' Welfare Board before the movement of pilgrims to the sacred sites, scheduled to commence late Tuesday.

The governor emphasized the significance of Arafat Day and urged pilgrims to offer special prayers for peace in Nasarawa State and Nigeria, particularly amid ongoing security challenges.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of all pilgrims, regardless of faith, and charged them to uphold the state’s positive image.

Earlier, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the 2025 Amirul Hajj, commended Governor Sule for his dedication to the state’s pilgrims and pledged effective oversight before, during, and after the Hajj.

He also encouraged the pilgrims to pray for the success of Governor Sule’s administration.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the arrangements in Mina and Arafat, praising the Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims' Welfare Board, Mallam Idris Almakura, for ensuring timely preparations.

Abdullah Turkistani, a representative of Mushair Company, thanked the governor for the visit and sought sustained collaboration.

Areas inspected included male and female tents, kitchens, toilets, and other essential facilities.
