Governor Sule Commends Youth Appointees, Highlights NASIDA’s Success as Model for Other States

 

The Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has expressed deep satisfaction with the outstanding performance of young appointees in his administration, describing them as key drivers of progress and innovation in the state.  

The governor made the remarks during an exclusive interview with  Nasarawa Today Magazine  in his office, where he highlighted the transformative impact of youth leadership in various sectors of governance.  

Governor Sule specifically commended the Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, for his exemplary leadership, which has repositioned the agency as a model for economic growth and investment promotion.  

"Under Ibrahim Abdullahi’s leadership, NASIDA has undergone a remarkable transformation, to the extent that other states are now seeking to replicate our success," Governor Sule stated. "This is a clear testament to the capacity of our young leaders when given the opportunity to serve."  

The governor emphasized that his administration is largely powered by young professionals who bring fresh ideas, energy, and technological expertise to governance. He noted that at NASIDA, for instance, the workforce is predominantly youth-dominated, with only a few senior officials above the age of the managing director.  

"One of the things that makes me particularly happy is that in NASIDA, there are no more than three or four people older than the managing director," Governor Sule revealed. "This shows that we are truly a government driven by the energy and vision of our youths."  

Governor Sule reiterated his commitment to empowering young people through strategic appointments and capacity-building initiatives. He explained that investing in youth leadership is not just about fulfilling political promises but also about securing the state’s long-term development.  

"The future belongs to the youth, and we are preparing them for leadership today," he said. "When you look at the remarkable strides we’ve made in areas like investment, agriculture, and infrastructure, much of the credit goes to these young minds who are dedicated to moving Nasarawa State forward."  

While applauding the achievements of his young appointees, Governor Sule called on other stakeholders, including the private sector and development partners, to support youth empowerment programs in the state. He expressed optimism that with sustained collaboration, Nasarawa State would emerge as a leading example of youth-driven governance in Nigeria.  

"As a government, we will continue to create opportunities for our young people to excel," he assured. "But we also need the support of all sectors to ensure that their potential is fully harnessed for the benefit of our state and nation."  

Since its revitalization under Ibrahim Abdullahi’s leadership, NASIDA has attracted significant investments, facilitated public-private partnerships, and implemented policies that have boosted the state’s economic profile. The agency’s innovative approach has earned accolades from both local and international investors.  

Governor Sule’s endorsement of his youth appointees reinforces his administration’s focus on inclusive governance and youth inclusion, setting a precedent for other states to follow.
