Troops Eliminate Notorious Bandits in Plateau State Raid

In a decisive operation, troops from the 3 Division Nigerian Army and Operation SAFE HAVEN successfully neutralized a group of notorious bandits in Plateau State.  

According to a statement by *Major Samson Zhakom*, Media Information Officer for Operation SAFE HAVEN, the operation was carried out in the early hours of *May 31, 2025*, in Pinau Village, Wase Local Government Area.  

The troops, acting on credible intelligence, launched a targeted offensive against the armed criminals who had been terrorizing the community. During the encounter, three bandits were killed, while others fled with gunshot wounds.  

The operation also led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle and a magazine, now in military custody for further investigation. 

Major Zhakom affirmed that troops are conducting follow-up operations to track down  fleeing suspects.
