Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Dr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), has dismissed claims by associates of Senator Tanko Al-Makura that the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc has endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s administration or ruled out defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued by his media aide, Muhammed Bello Doka, Malami asserted that only loyalists of the CPC’s original political ideology—founded under former President Muhammadu Buhari—have the authority to speak on the bloc’s stance. He described Al-Makura’s camp as "figments of imagination" and firmly rejected any suggestion of secret defections, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the APC.
