Tributes Pour In as Retired Kaduna Education Director Elder Jatau Danladi Bako is Laid to Rest

The remains of Elder Jatau Danladi Bako, a retired Director of Education in the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, was laid to rest at his country home in Samban Gida, Jaba Local Government Area, amidst heartfelt tributes from family, friends, and well-wishers. 

Elder Bako, who passed away on March 7 at the age of 75 after a prolonged illness, was celebrated for his selflessness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of those around him. He is survived by his wife, Talatu Danladi, and four children, including Capt. Caleb Danladi Bako, a philanthropist and founder of the Caleb Danladi Foundation.

At the funeral service, his wife, Talatu, described him as a man of immense patience, kindness, and generosity, whose life inspired her to become a better person. "He was selfless and dedicated to the growth of everyone around him," she said.

Capt. Caleb Danladi Bako, the eldest son, shared how his father instilled in him the values of humility, fairness, and respect for all, regardless of faith or background. "My father taught me that every human being deserves dignity and compassion. He lived a life of service, and I will honour his memory by continuing his legacy of serving humanity and devotion to God," he pledged.

Rev. Mathias Haruna, Chairman of the ECWA Kwoi DCC, highlighted Elder Bako's significant contributions to the church, noting his numerous leadership roles and selfless service. "His commitment to the growth of the DCC will never be forgotten," Haruna said.

Family friend Mrs. Deborah Usman reminisced about Elder Bako's kindness and generosity, recalling how he always offered gifts to visitors, including a live chicken during her last visit. Similarly, the District Head of Daddu, Bello Shamaki, described him as a "beacon of hope for the less privileged and a true pillar of our community."

Elder Jatau Danladi Bako's life was a testament to service, humility, and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on his family, community, and all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and dedication to humanity will continue to inspire generations to come.
