Culture is Key to Development" – Hon. Augustine Beguwa Advocates at Khituk Gwong Festival

Honourable Augustine Beguwa, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and National Assembly aspirant for Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, has emphasized the vital role of culture in societal development.  

Speaking at the annual Khituk Gwong festival in Fadan Kagoma, where he was a special guest, Beguwa described culture as the foundation of a people’s identity and progress. 

“Culture embodies the totality of our way of life. A society without a strong cultural heritage is incomplete,” he stated, commending the Gwong Chiefdom for preserving their traditions. He praised Chief of Gwong, Colonel Paul Zakka Wyom (rtd), and the entire community for celebrating their rich heritage.  

Reflecting on his own values, Beguwa highlighted humility and service as key principles that have earned him widespread respect. Known for his philanthropy, he emphasized accessibility and generosity, stating, “True wealth lies not in material possessions, but in the positive impact we make on others.” 

The APC stalwart also lauded Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for fostering inclusivity in Southern Kaduna through developmental projects. He urged continued support for the APC-led administrations at state and federal levels, citing ongoing reforms, peace initiatives, and equitable appointments as evidence of progress.  

“The Tinubu-led government is committed to delivering democracy’s dividends to every community,” Beguwa affirmed, calling for unity to sustain development across the zone
