Nasarawa Lands Commissioner Emphasizes Unity, Transparency to Achieve Ministry’s Goals

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Barrister David Sule Moyi, has described the ministry as a “big family” that must work collaboratively to fulfill its mandates.

Moyi made the remark after receiving briefings from the ministry’s six directors. He stressed, *“If we are able to work in synergy and uphold sincerity of purpose, there is nothing we cannot achieve.”*

The commissioner urged departmental heads to support one another in their responsibilities to foster mutual understanding and efficiency. He cautioned against hoarding knowledge, noting that such practices stifle innovation and hinder progress. “New ideas and initiatives thrive only when we share insights openly,”* he added.

Moyi also directed the directors to treat subordinates respectfully to maintain harmony within the ministry. He reiterated his commitment to advancing Governor Abdullahi Sule’s agenda, stating, *“My role here is to consolidate on the governor’s mandates, and I will ensure we deliver tangible results.”*

Earlier, the directors presented overviews of their departments’ functions, achievements, and challenges. The commissioner affirmed that these briefings would inform a actionable framework to increase the revenue base of the ministry and the implementation of land policies in the state .
