Zamfara Reps Member Denies Issuing Warning to Ganduje, El-Rufa’i Over 2027 Election
By Adam Muhammad, Gusau
Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, the House of Representatives member representing Kaura Namoda-Birnin Magaji federal constituency, has denied a recent online media report claiming he issued a warning to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and former Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i regarding the 2027 elections.
Describing the report as false and malicious, Jaji attributed it to mischief-makers aiming to tarnish his reputation for political gain.
In a statement, Dr. Jaji clarified that he neither spoke to any media outlet nor issued any statement on the subject. He condemned the publication as the handiwork of unscrupulous politicians seeking to destabilize the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I remain a loyal member of the APC, fully committed to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. I hold the National Working Committee, led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in high esteem and will continue to respect their leadership,” Jaji stated.
He emphasized that such a statement could not have come from an experienced politician like himself, who has dedicated his resources, energy, and time to the APC since its formation in 2013. “I have always been and will remain a true servant of the APC project,” he added.
Jaji reiterated his unwavering support for President Tinubu, whom he regards as a mentor, and pledged to back every effort by the Ganduje-led party leadership to help the President fulfill his campaign promises and transform the aspirations of Nigerians.
On the issue of former Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i, Jaji described him as a dedicated politician who has contributed significantly to the APC’s success. “I recall how hard El-Rufa’i worked with some of us since 2013 to ensure the party’s victory in 2015. He also played a crucial role in securing President Tinubu’s victory during the 2023 primaries and general elections,” Jaji said.
While acknowledging that there may be differences between El-Rufa’i and the party leadership, Jaji expressed confidence that such issues would not diminish El-Rufa’i’s commitment to the APC’s success now and beyond 2027.
Jaji urged the public to disregard the misleading report published on the Legit platform and called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s administration and the efforts of Dr. Ganduje to strengthen the APC.
He also appealed to party leaders, including Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, to set aside their differences and work together to ensure the APC’s success. “I believe El-Rufa’i would not allow his hard-earned efforts in building the APC to go to waste,” Jaji concluded.
