FED VARSITY KACHIA: A COVETED TROPHY FOR SOUTHERN KADUNA - SMK INFLUENCERS

A support group for the Kaduna South Senator, Influencers for SMK, has described the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, as a monumental achievement and a coveted trophy for the entire Southern Kaduna region.  

In a statement issued to journalists on Friday through its leader, Sur. Maikano Samson, the group hailed Senator Katung’s enduring legacy, stating that his efforts will inspire and empower future generations while securing his place in the history of Southern Kaduna.  

“Thank you for being an exemplary leader and a true champion of our constituency. We are eternally grateful for your vision, hard work, and foresight, which have made this achievement a reality in our lifetime,” the statement read.  

The group highlighted the significance of having a federal educational institution in the senatorial zone, noting that the establishment of the university followed rigorous legislative processes.  

“After painstaking efforts to make this long-awaited dream a reality, it is heartwarming to finally have a federal educational presence in our zone. The social, economic, and infrastructural benefits of this institution are enormous and cannot be overemphasized,” the statement added.  

The support group also commended Senator Katung for his focus, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the project, despite challenges.  

“The President’s assent to the bill and the upcoming establishment of the university in September 2025 are a testament to your tireless efforts. You have accomplished all this in less than two years since becoming a Senator representing the good people of our region,” the group stated.  

They further praised the Senator for his historic achievement, describing him as the first Senator in the history of Southern Kaduna to advocate for and successfully secure such a significant project for the region.  

“We boldly assert that this has earned you an excellent, outstanding, and uncommon scorecard in the eyes of those who genuinely care about the zone and have followed the trajectory of our district. Your unwavering dedication, perseverance, commitment, and leadership have at last yielded remarkable results,” the group emphasized.  

The statement concluded by acknowledging the Senator’s place in history, stating, “Your name is written in the golden books of our history, and posterity will surely be kind to you. The leadership and members of this group are elated by your giant stride in bringing the Federal University to our region. This is a significant victory for the people of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole.”
