Tragedy Strikes Benue state: 10 Lives Lost in Fatal Accident

 

A devastating accident occurred in Okete village, Okpikwu Oglewu, Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, claiming the lives of 10 people. 

The tragic incident happened on Wednesday when a mining truck collided with a bus carrying six passengers before crashing into a residential building, where a family of four resided.

According to community leader Ekah Bernard, the death toll has been confirmed at 10, with others receiving medical attention at St. Daniel Hospital in Otukpo. 

The community, situated along the Otukpo-Loko Oweto Abuja Road, has been plunged into mourning following the disaster, which also left numerous houses and business premises in ruins.
