The Nasarawa State University Alumni Association Worldwide has announced an adjustment to its planned 2026 Delegates Conference and General Assembly scheduled for June 19-20 at the main campus of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK.
In a statement by National Public Relations Officer, God’spower Ede, the association said the Alumni Barbecue and Gala Night has been moved to Friday evening, June 19, instead of Saturday as earlier announced.
The association said the decision was taken after due diligence to enable participants return to their homes after a successful meeting on Saturday.
The conference, themed “Legacy to Leadership: Empowering the Next Generation of NSUK,” is expected to bring together the Board of Trustees, Congress members, and registered alumni chapters globally under the leadership of Global President, Barr. Nuhu J. Egya.
Other scheduled events remain unchanged. Delegates will arrive on Friday, June 19, and pay courtesy visits to dignitaries including the Emir of Keffi/NSUK Pro-Chancellor, HRH Alh. Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, and Governor Abdullahi A. Sule.
Consequently, Saturday, June 20 will feature delegates’ registration and the General Assembly.
All activities will hold at the Abdullahi Adamu Alumni Secretariat, NSUK Keffi.
The association noted that the conference will review the state of the association, adopt a 2026-2028 strategic plan, constitute committees, launch the NSUK Alumni Endowment Fund, and strengthen partnerships with the university and Nasarawa State Government.
