By John Dogo Wada, Lafia
A campaign group supporting Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada’s bid for the Nasarawa State governorship seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially opened its new campaign office in Tudun-gwandara. The group, known as "Tudun-gwandara For Wadada Vision 2027," also used the event to receive numerous supporters of other governorship aspirants who stepped down and joined Wadada’s movement in the area.
In his welcome address, the chairman of the Wadada movement in Tudun-gwandara, Comrade Mohammed Maihadishi, welcomed all attendees, including those who could not be present. He stated that the event was organized to achieve three goals: to receive supporters of other governorship candidates who have now joined Wadada from different parts of the state, to commission the new Wadada campaign office in Tudun-gwandara, and to issue employment certificates to the defectors.
Comrade Maihadishi praised Senator Wadada’s character, declaring him the most qualified candidate to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule. He made a special appeal to the people of Tudun-gwandara and Nasarawa State as a whole to come out en masse and vote for Senator Wadada in the 2027 election.
He further emphasized that Senator Wadada’s movement is one of truth and transparency, adding, "Anyone who aligns with Wadada will not regret it, but anyone who doesn’t will eventually regret it."
Prominent political figures and stakeholders at the event included former governorship aspirant Senator Musa Sambo and Alhaji Baba Wakilin Dokan Lafia, along with representatives from various other Wadada campaign groups. They all commended Tudun-gwandara For Wadada Vision 2027 for organizing the gathering. They described Governor Sule’s choice of Wadada as the APC aspirant as a wise decision and urged supporters across Tudun-gwandara and the state to join the movement.
The stakeholders also pledged to go door to door to ensure Wadada’s victory in both the upcoming APC primary election and the 2027 general election. They further commended those who left their former candidates to join Wadada’s movement, describing their decision as a wise step.
Other activities at the event included the official presentation of employment certificates to the defectors by Senator Musa Sambo, the commissioning of the new Wadada campaign office in Tudun-gwandara, photo sessions, and entertainment by local singers and musicians who kept the crowd engaged.
