Community Groups Hail Governor Sule for Appointing Son as First CMD of Akwanga Specialist Hospital

Two groups from Ogba Community worldwide have commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointing one of their sons, Dr. Esala E. Abene, as the pioneer Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Akwanga.

The groups, comprising the Ogba Community Lafia branch and officials of Ogba Community worldwide, made the commendation during a congratulatory visit to the CMD. They described the appointment as well-deserved and a source of pride for the entire Ogba nation.

In their separate speeches, the Lafia branch chairman, Mr. Affiku Danjuma Engom, appreciated the governor for recognizing the people of Ogba and placing them on the right pedestal. He also congratulated Dr. Abene and prayed for God’s wisdom and guidance as he pilots the affairs of the new specialist hospital. He expressed hope that the appointment would inspire other capable Ogba sons and daughters to strive for excellence.

Also speaking, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Nasarawa Eggon East, Hon. Jacob Kudu, apart from congratulating Dr. Abene, advised the Ogba Community not to put pressure on the CMD. He appealed to the hospital's management to work as a team in order to provide efficient and adequate healthcare services to the people. He stressed that unity and professionalism would be key to the hospital's success.

On his part, the spokesperson of Ogba Community worldwide, Abimiku Ovey Waki, praised the governor for appointing their son as CMD and stated that their visit was to familiarize themselves with him. He also pledged the community's continued support and prayers for the CMD and the hospital's management.

Responding, the CMD, Dr. Abene, appreciated the various groups from Ogba Community for the visit and highlighted the progress made so far, as well as the constraints faced as a new hospital. He called for patience and cooperation from the community, assuring them that he remains committed to delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Nasarawa State.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a congratulatory letter to the CMD.
