Kaduna South Senator Katung Provides Sallah Rams to Muslim Leaders in Annual Support for Eid-el-Kabir
By Abubakar Labaran
As part of his annual Eid-el-Kabir tradition and continued commitment to supporting the Muslim Ummah, the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung, has distributed rams to Muslim leaders, clerics, and Islamic scholars across the eight local government areas of the district.
The distribution exercise, coordinated through the office of Alhaji Iliya Kallah—the Senator’s Special Adviser on Religious Affairs (Islamic Matters)—aimed to support religious leaders during the Sallah celebration while promoting unity, peace, and mutual coexistence among communities in Kaduna South.
The adviser noted that the gesture once again reflects Senator Katung’s inclusive leadership style, compassion, and dedication to the welfare of the people, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds.
He added that the distribution would go a long way in easing the hardship many face when trying to perform the obligatory sacrifice of rams during Eid-el-Adha. He further encouraged Muslim faithful across the district to use the Eid period to pray for lasting peace, unity, and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.
A cross-section of religious leaders and beneficiaries who received the rams expressed appreciation for the Senator’s thoughtful intervention, describing him as a leader who consistently stands with his people, especially during important religious celebrations.
