Honourable Ali Kalat Secures APC Ticket for Jema'a Constituency Ahead of 2027

The Member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Ali Kalat, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Jema'a Local Government Area House of Assembly seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kalat emerged as the consensus candidate after other aspirants stepped down in his favor.

Speaking after his affirmation as the party's flag-bearer, Kalat expressed gratitude to stakeholders and party members for their support. He said the decision of other aspirants to back his candidacy reflected confidence in his performance and leadership style.

"I believe my colleagues and supporters felt that returning to the Assembly is not just about occupying a seat, but about attracting more dividends of democracy to our people," he said.

He explained that some aspirants cited his legislative experience and understanding of parliamentary processes as reasons for supporting continuity.

The lawmaker assured party faithful and constituents that he would maintain an open-door policy rooted in inclusiveness and consultation.

"I have always maintained an open-door policy, and going forward, we will continue to carry everyone along. I deeply appreciate the support and confidence they have shown in me," he stated.

Speaking on the forthcoming elections, Kalat expressed confidence in the APC's electoral prospects, noting that the party now enjoys broader political alignment across the zone.

He also highlighted projects facilitated during his tenure, including meaningful capital development projects that reflect the people's yearnings and aspirations. He pledged to intensify efforts toward attracting more development initiatives, particularly road construction projects within the constituency.

"One of the projects I will continue to pursue is the road construction initiative. I will keep lobbying and working with relevant authorities to ensure that such projects are completed for the benefit of our people," he added.
