Eid-el-Kabri: Senator Urges Unity, Sacrifice Amid Nigeria’s Challenges

As the Muslim Ummah worldwide celebrates Eid-el-Kabir today, the Senator representing Kaduna Southern Kaduna Senatorial District, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in his constituency.

The Senator conveyed his greetings in a statement made available to Timescopenews today, extending warm wishes to the Muslim Ummah across Kaduna South Senatorial District, Kaduna State, and Nigeria on this joyous and spiritually significant occasion.

He stated, "Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the timeless virtues of sacrifice, obedience, humility, patience, compassion, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). As families and communities gather to celebrate and offer the symbolic sacrifice of the ram, may Allah accept our acts of worship, forgive our shortcomings, and shower His endless mercy upon us all."

Katung observed that this sacred season calls on everyone to embrace love, peaceful coexistence, unity, and selfless service to one another. He added, "At a time when our nation continues to face social and economic challenges, I urge all citizens, regardless of religion, tribe, or political affiliation, to uphold peace, tolerance, mutual respect, and understanding."

He said, "Let us continue to see one another as brothers and sisters, united in our shared desire for the progress and prosperity of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, and Nigeria."

The Senator also made a special appeal: "I specifically call on our brothers and sisters from Southern Kaduna and beyond who are currently in the Holy Land for Hajj to remember our land and nation in their prayers. May Allah grant them an accepted Hajj, a safe return, good health, and abundant blessings. May He heal our land, strengthen the bonds of love among our people, and uplift every family during this blessed celebration."

Katung reaffirmed his commitment as the representative in the Senate to remain fully dedicated to protecting and promoting the interests of Kaduna South Senatorial District.

"I will continue to advance meaningful legislation, support people-centred development initiatives, and ensure that your voices are heard clearly at the national level. Your trust, prayers, and unwavering support remain my greatest source of strength and inspiration."

The Senator promised that together, through unity, peace, and collective responsibility, he will continue to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united Southern Kaduna and Nigeria.
