Senator Katung Honoured for Advocacy Beyond District, Facilitating Key Kaduna Projects

The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Marshall Katung, has been commended for extending his representation beyond the confines of his constituency to address pressing infrastructural needs in Kaduna Central.
The commendation was issued in a statement by Mr. Nathan Awan, a lecturer at Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.
Mr. Awan highlighted that Senator Katung’s proactive advocacy has yielded tangible results for the state capital. He recalled that approximately two years ago, the Senator appealed to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State to rehabilitate the busy axis from the Stadium Roundabout to the Station Roundabout. This followed the sudden traffic congestion caused by the construction of a circumferential road at the Stadium Roundabout. In response to that plea, the state government intervened to resolve the frustrating gridlock and improve traffic flow in the area.
Furthermore, Mr. Awan noted that during a recent visit to Sabon GRA, Senator Katung was dismayed by the deplorable condition of roads in the well-planned layout. He brought the matter to the Governor’s attention, prompting an immediate response. A survey team was dispatched to assess the area, and the Governor has since approved a project for the construction of roads and the installation of streetlights in the Sabon GRA.
"Senator Sunday Marshall has demonstrated visionary leadership by extending his influence to Kaduna Central Senatorial District, which is home to a diverse population, including many indigenes of southern Kaduna," Mr. Awan stated.
Mr. Awan also extended commendation to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for delivering on these critical projects. He specifically praised the Governor for rehabilitating the Television Garage Road, which had been abandoned by the previous administration. This, he said, showcases exemplary leadership that warrants genuine appreciation, even from opposition quarters.
"When we see something, we say something. We pray for the timely and successful completion of these projects from start to finish," Mr. Said. He also prayed to God to bless the Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and Senator Sunday Marshall Katung.
