A two-day orientation workshop for the Project Implementation Unit of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up project was held at the Ministry of Health conference hall. The workshop aimed to equip project staff and strengthen their capacity for optimal performance.

Declaring the event open, the State Project Coordinator, Hajiya Halima Yusuf, explained that the workshop was designed to reinvigorate the team's capabilities. This, she stated, is essential for achieving the project's development objectives and ensuring successful implementation in local communities across the state.

Hajiya Yusuf urged all staff to fully grasp the importance of the orientation and to adhere strictly to the project's goals to ensure the program's success. She also expressed appreciation to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for his unwavering support and assured the Nasarawa State government of the program's effective implementation.

In a paper presentation, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Mr. Abubakar Yahaya Ishagye emphasized that stakeholder engagement is a critical factor for successful community entry. He advised staff to develop thoughtful strategies and tactics before engaging with communities.

The Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up has earmarked three local government areas in Nasarawa State for its pilot phase: Awe, Nasarawa, and Wamba.
