Shekari Launches "A Ray of Hope" Campaign, Pledges Specialist Hospital Upgrade for Zangon Kataf/Jaba

Zonkwa, Kaduna State – Honourable Rijo Shekari, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency seat, has formally inaugurated his 2027 Campaign Council in Zonkwa, headquarters of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.

During a colourful ceremony attended by party executives, faithfuls, supporters, family, and friends, Shekari unveiled a campaign structure anchored on his “A Ray of Hope” agenda. He announced Mr. Bawa Fari from Fai Ward in Jaba LGA as the Director-General of the Rijo Shekari 2027 Campaign Council, with Mr. Yunusa Ibrahim Ajagu from Ikulu Ward in Zangon Kataf LGA serving as Secretary-General.

The council also includes several grassroots politicians appointed as coordinators, youth leaders, and women leaders across the constituency’s wards.

Shekari stated that the team was carefully selected to reflect the constituency’s diversity and strength, noting that its formation marks the start of a youth-inclusive movement aimed at unlocking opportunities and tackling long-standing challenges.

He outlined rural transformation, agro-entrepreneurship, and youth development as core pillars of his blueprint, aligning his vision with the developmental leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

In a significant pledge, Shekari promised to champion the upgrade of St. Louis Hospital, Zonkwa, into a specialist facility for paediatrics, gynaecology, and renal care if he secures the APC ticket and wins the 2027 election. This, he said, would bridge healthcare gaps and reduce the need for residents to travel far for treatment.

In his response, the newly appointed Director-General, Bawa Fari, thanked Shekari for the confidence reposed in the council and pledged to work diligently toward victory in the party primaries and beyond.

The event was attended by APC chairmen from Zangon Kataf and Jaba LGAs, alongside councillors from both local government areas.
