Nasarawa PDP Chairman Predicts Party Resurgence at Forthcoming Convention

Adamu Ninga, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge stronger and more united following its upcoming National Convention.

Scheduled for November 15-16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State, the convention will see the election of new national officials and set the stage for the 2027 general elections.

Ninga made this statement in Lafia on Wednesday during a press briefing after an expanded State Executive Council meeting. He described the convention as a "significant milestone" for the PDP, expressing unwavering faith in the party's ability to rebound.

He asserted that the Ibadan convention would provide a new lease on life for the PDP, helping to rebuild its structures and reposition it for electoral success.

"We are more united and determined than ever to reclaim our rightful place in Nigerian politics in general and Nasarawa State politics in particular," Ninga stated. "The convention will provide a platform to resolve internal conflicts and chart a new course for the future."

The Chairman also promised a level playing field for all members, especially those seeking election in 2027, and committed to an all-inclusive leadership style to give every member a sense of belonging.

He assured that Nasarawa State delegates would be responsible and orderly at the convention, working to elect the best candidates to lead the party to victory.

Ninga also confirmed that the party has allocated four delegate slots to women from each of the state's 13 Local Government Areas for the convention. (NAN).
