Agwam Bajju, Kingmakers Bless Rijo Shekari's 2027 Ambition

Zonkwa – In a significant boost to his 2027 aspirations, APC aspirant Rijo Shekari received a royal blessing and endorsement from the Agwam Bajju, HRH Luka Kogi Yabuwat, and his kingmakers on Wednesday.

The special event, held at the monarch's palace in Zonkwa, was attended by traditional council members, party loyalists, community leaders, and well-wishers.

In his remarks, the Agwam Bajju described Mr. Shekari as a true son of the land whose selfless contributions to society, particularly his support for widows, orphans, and the less privileged, have made a lasting impact. The royal father prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon his life, urging him not to relent in uplifting the needy and fostering peace.

The Marafan Bajju, Mr. Christopher Yanshi, commended Shekari for his courage to step forward, noting that his track record of humility and generosity places him in good stead for leadership.

Other dignitaries echoed this sentiment, describing Mr. Shekari as a man of vision, integrity, and compassion, and stressing that his aspiration was timely and deserving of support.

Responding, Mr. Shekari expressed profound gratitude to the Agwam Bajju and his council for the honor and fatherly support. He pledged not to betray the trust reposed in him if elected, promising to provide effective and inclusive representation.

According to him, his decision to join the race was born out of a genuine desire to serve and to complement the developmental strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. He assured that his representation would focus on youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, and better opportunities for farmers and small business owners.

Timescopenews reports that the event, which ended with prayers and traditional blessings from the Kingmakers across the five clans of the Bajju Chiefdom, underscored the growing support Mr. Shekari enjoys from both the traditional institution and grassroots stakeholders.
