
Hon. Ali Kalat Invests N10m in Constituency, Launches Youth & Widow Empowerment Scheme

KAFANCHAN – In a significant move to boost local enterprise and reduce unemployment, Member representing Jema'a constituency and Minority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Ali Kalat, has empowered 200 youths and widows with a N10 million grant.
The event, held in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jema'a Local Government Area, marked the fulfilment of a key campaign promise to provide direct support to his constituents.
Hon. Kalat stated that the initiative was designed to keep youths meaningfully engaged and away from crime. "When our young people are engaged in productive ventures, the issue of insecurity is significantly addressed," he said. He assured the community of his continued commitment to launching programs that directly impact their lives.
The initiative received a major boost when Mr. Daniel Amos, member representing Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency, praised Kalat's vision and announced an additional donation of N5 million in support. "Leadership is about being responsive to the needs of the people," Amos stated.
Also speaking, the Kaduna State PDP chairman, Mr. Edward Marsha, commended the lawmaker for positively representing the party and urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely.
According to the Chairman of the planning committee, Amos Samaila, the package includes a POS machine and N50,000 for each of the 100 youths selected, while another 100 widows will receive a grant of N50,000 each.
Beneficiaries Shamsudeen Abubakar and Stella Bawa expressed their gratitude, pledging to use the funds to grow their businesses and praying for Hon. Kalat's continued ability to help his people.
The breakdown of the empowerment, as detailed by planning committee chairman Amos Samaila, includes:
· 100 Youths: Each received a POS machine loaded with N50,000.
· 100 Widows: Each received a direct grant of N50,000
Beneficiaries like Shamsudeen Abubakar and Stella Bawa thanked Hon. Kalat for the support, which they promised to invest in their small businesses.
