Emir of Keffi Turbaned Professor Yaki Katuka as Wakiln Ilimin keffi

The Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, has turbaned renowned academic Professor Yaki Katuka as the Wakiln Ilimin Keffi (Keffi's Ambassador of Knowledge). The ceremony took place at the Emir's palace in Keffi, Nasarawa State, during the Eid al-Adha celebrations.

Speaking at the occasion, the Royal Father stated that Professor Katuka, along with other notable personalities, was turbaned in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the educational development of Nasarawa State in particular, and the nation in general.

Professor Katuka Yaki, a Professor of Public Administration and Politics, is a former Dean at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, where his academic achievements became legendary. He later joined Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State.

Originally from Tanda in Gwong, Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Professor Katuka currently holds the traditional title of Jakadan Gwong, highly regarded within the Gwong Chiefdom. He is also the Chairman of the North-West Christian Professors Forum.

Speaking to Timescopenews after being turbaned, Professor Yaki Katuka gave God all the glory. He thanked the Emir and the people of Keffi for the honour bestowed upon him, promising to do more to advance meaningful educational development in the area and the country.
