SOUTHERN KADUNA TRADITIONAL RULERS, RELIGIOUS LEADERS FORGE UNITY FOR LASTING PEACE

In a historic move to strengthen peace and unity, traditional rulers from Southern Kaduna joined Christian and Muslim leaders for a landmark dialogue aimed at fostering lasting harmony and development in the Zone.  

The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA), led by Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, alongside prominent Chief Imams, convened the pivotal meeting on Wednesday in Kafanchan. The gathering sought to build on recent peace gains under the current administration and chart a united path forward for the Area 

Apostle Kure underscored the urgency of the initiative, noting that religious and traditional leaders must address evolving challenges to prevent a relapse into past divisions. "The times demand unity. If we fail to rise above old grievances, we risk the progress we’ve made," he stated.  

The Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu II, and the Chief of Kagoro, Dr. Ufuwai Bonnet, spoke on behalf of fellow traditional rulers, endorsing the initiative as a crucial step for Southern Kaduna’s survival and growth. Both leaders praised the religious figures for bridging divides and uniting diverse communities under a shared vision of peace and development.  

The meeting, attended by key elders, marks a turning point in inter-ethnic and inter-religious collaboration, setting the stage for sustained dialogue and collective progress in the region.
