Outgoing Perm Sec Khalid Adamu Honored as Ministry, NASIDA Celebrate His Legacy

The Commissioner of the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development, Barr. David Moyi, has reaffirmed the strong working relationship between the ministry and the Nasarawa State Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), emphasizing the need to sustain this collaboration for the state’s progress.  

The Commissioner made these remarks during a visit by NASIDA’s management to honor the Ministry’s outgoing Permanent Secretary, ESV. Khalid Adamu, on his retirement from service.  

Represented by the State Surveyor General, Ishaya Makama, Barr. Moyi commended NASIDA’s gesture of solidarity and praised the retiring Permanent Secretary for his decades of dedicated service. "The Ministry will greatly miss his expertise in ensuring prudent land resource management," he added.  

The Managing Director of NASIDA, Ibrahim M. Abdullahi, described Khalid Adamu as a pivotal supporter of the governor’s initiatives, NASIDA’s programs, and land administration reforms in Nasarawa State. According to him, Adamu’s expertise played a crucial role in facilitating investments and advancing key projects in the state.  

In his remarks, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, ESV. Khalid Adamu, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that NASIDA had become like a second family to him.  

"NASIDA revolutionized governance operations in Nasarawa State," he said. "Through the agency, I gained a deeper understanding of the ease of doing business, which I integrated into the Ministry’s operations."  

Adamu further noted that the adoption of ease-of-business reforms significantly boosted the ministry’s revenue, particularly through its registration unit, which became a major income generator.  

The ceremony concluded with a cake presentation and cutting by the retiring Permanent Secretary, marking the end of his distinguished service.
