HON. DANIEL AMOS REAFFIRMS LOYALTY TO PDP, DISMISSES DEFECTION RUMOURS

Kafanchan – The Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Daniel Amos, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the People's Democratic Party (PDP), dismissing speculations about his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).  

Speaking on Saturday during a meeting with political appointees and associates in Kafanchan, the lawmaker, who chairs the House Committee on House Services, emphasized his dedication to the PDP, the platform that enabled him to serve his people.  

“This mandate was entrusted to me by my constituents, and I will not betray their trust. I would rather serve a meaningful term under the PDP than defect for political convenience,” he declared.  

While reiterating his loyalty to the PDP, Hon. Amos acknowledged the efforts of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing the needs of Southern Kaduna, particularly in inclusion and infrastructure development. 

He also announced plans to mark his two years in office in June with a series of empowerment programs aimed at benefiting constituents.  

“Leadership is about impacting lives,” he told his aides, urging them to intensify grassroots engagement and support vulnerable members of the community.  

Among his notable achievements are scholarships for students, financial grants to farmers, and support for small-scale entrepreneurs across the constituency.  

The Kaduna State PDP Chairman, Chief Edward Percy Masha, condemned the APC’s alleged attempts to lure opposition members, calling it a threat to democracy.  

“A one-party system is dangerous. The APC’s desperation to weaken opposition exposes its failures,” Masha stated, praising Amos’ outstanding performance in office.  

Party stakeholders at the event commended the lawmaker’s integrity and people-centered leadership, pledging their continued support.
