Nasarawa State Commissioner Charges Northern Youths to Emulate Sir Ahmadu Bello’s Legacy

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Barrister David Sule Moyi, has called on the youths of Northern Nigeria to follow the exemplary footsteps of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and first Premier of Northern Nigeria, whose leadership virtues remain a benchmark for good governance.  

Barrister Moyi made this statement shortly after receiving the prestigious Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award as an "Icon of Leadership and Nation-Building/Jakan Matasan Arewa." The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment, human development, educational advancement, and prudent resource management for the benefit of society.  

The commissioner highlighted the enduring virtues of Sir Ahmadu Bello, including integrity, honor, transparency, and visionary leadership, urging Northern youths to embrace these qualities for the region’s progress.  

"The youth of today must take life seriously, for if they fail to do so, doom lies ahead of us all," he cautioned. 

Barrister Moyi further challenged youth leaders to devise strategies that would elevate Northern youths to prominence, ensuring they are adequately prepared to lead in the future. He emphasized that sustainable development in the region can only be achieved if young people adopt disciplined, purposeful, and value-driven lifestyles, just as the late Sardauna demonstrated during his lifetime.  

The award ceremony, had in attendance the Permanent secretary of the ministry ESV Khalid Adamu and others dignitaries, celebrated Barrister Moyi’s dedication to public service and his relentless efforts in fostering human capital development. His work in Nasarawa State has significantly impacted urban development and land reforms, earning him widespread acclaim.
