APC REMAINS UNMOVED BY SDP'S EMERGENCE IN KADUNA STATE – RT. HON. ADO DOGO AUDU

The Councillor for Political Affairs to the Kaduna State Governor, Rt. Honourable Ado Dogo Audu, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains unshaken despite the growing influence of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state, particularly in Zone 3.  

He made this declaration during a grassroots stakeholders' meeting of APC leaders held over the weekend in Sabon Gari Chori, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.  

Audu attributed the APC's resilience to its people-centered structure at both national and state levels, which he said has attracted numerous defectors from other political parties.  

He also highlighted the inclusive policies of the Kaduna State Government, noting that his appointment as Councillor for Political Affairs came after the former Political Adviser from Zone 3 resigned to contest for the Chairmanship of Kachia LGA.  

Speaking at the event, Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa stressed the importance of grassroots engagement to strengthen the party's presence at the local level. He urged members to actively demonstrate their commitment to the people they represent.  

In his remarks, the National Secretary of the Renewed Hope Consolidation Mandate, Prof. Dogara Matoh, called for unity among members, warning against divisive politics based on religion, ethnicity, or regionalism, especially as the 2027 elections approach.  

APC Chieftain Engr. Joseph Chiroma advised members to work in harmony with the party's structure to prevent internal divisions. He also commended Elder Anthony Hassan for his efforts in mobilizing resources for the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, describing it as a testament to his dedication to grassroots development.  

Another APC stalwart, Mr. Rijo Shekari, emphasized the role of government appointees—such as councilors and local government chairmen—in communicating government policies and development initiatives to the people.  

The event concluded with a proposal by Prof. Yusuf Gandu for a "Thank You Mega Rally" in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He announced that participants from all 13 local government areas and their wards would be mobilized for the rally.
