Khituk Gwong 2025: Governor Uba Sani Vows to Revive Road Projects, Boost Development in Southern Kaduna

The  Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing the welfare of Southern Kaduna residents through priority infrastructure and community-driven projects.  

Governor Sani reiterated this commitment at the annual *Khituk Gwong Festival* in Fadan Kagoma, Jema’a Local Government Area, where he was represented by his Counselor on Political Affairs, Rt. Hon. Ado Dogo Audu. Highlighting his agenda, he pledged to resume the stalled road project stretching from *Ungwan Rimi Bridge to Kwoi and Jere*, spanning Zangon Kataf, Jaba, and Kagarko Local Governments.  

He emphasized the strategic importance of the near-complete *Kafanchan Metropolis Road*, which will enhance connectivity for commerce and transportation across the zone. Governor Sani also promised closer collaboration with the *Chief of Gwong*, His Royal Highness Colonel Paul Zakka Wyom (rtd.), to address communal challenges and foster development.  

In his keynote address, *Professor Dickson Dyaji*, speaking on the theme *“Gwong Heritage: Embracing Our Roots, Inspiring Our Future,”* urged unity and innovation to attract investment. Meanwhile, *Kpop Gwong HRH Wyom* underscored the cultural significance of the festival, honoring individuals like *Generals T.Y. Danjuma and Tukur Buratai*, and Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, for their contributions to Gwong land and Nigeria.  

Jema’a Local Government Chairman, *Mr. Peter Tanko Dogara*, applauded the state government and T.Y. Danjuma Foundation for revitalizing infrastructure, including the rebuilt Gwong Development Area Secretariat.  

The event celebrated Gwong’s cultural heritage while rallying stakeholders to champion peace, discipline, and progress in Southern Kaduna.
