Mallam Saidu Ibrahim, popularly known as "Awarware," is a tea seller in Kafanchan who specializes in preparing a unique blend of herbal tea. This energy drink is made from a mixture of herbs and spices, including ginger, turmeric, bitter cola, and other ingredients.
Speaking to Timescope News, Saidu revealed that he came to Nigeria from Niger Republic to pursue business opportunities. His tea business has been successful, with over 50 customers patronizing him daily.
Saidu's tea is not only a refreshing drink but also a natural remedy for various ailments. He claims that his tea does not have side effects like commercial energy drinks. His customers, including okada riders, market men and women, and others, can attest to the benefits of his tea.
In addition to his regular tea, Saidu also takes special orders for teas tailored to specific needs, such as boosting manpower or treating common diseases like piles, ulcers, typhoid, and malaria.
Saidu's nickname "Awarware" was given to him by his customers, which means relieving the body from stress. He boils his herbs in a pot, pours the hot tea into thermo flasks, and sells them in the streets of Kafanchan and its environs.
Saidu's business is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of people from Niger Republic, who are known for their expertise in tea preparation and herbal remedies.
