2027: Senator Katung seeks second term, vows to work for Tinubu, Uba Sani

The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung, has officially declared his intention to seek re-election to the Senate, while also pledging his support for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani’s re-election bids in the 2027 general elections.

In a press statement made available by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Midat Joseph, the Senator made the declaration during a meeting with the Local Government Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from his Senatorial District, held in Abuja.

Senator Katung said his decision to seek re-election is anchored on the need to consolidate gains recorded, complete ongoing initiatives, and continue delivering quality representation to the people of Southern Kaduna.

He noted that the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the sustain agenda of Governor Uba Sani require experienced and committed lawmakers to drive them to the grassroots.

He charged party stakeholders to mobilize aggressively ahead of 2027, stressing that Southern Kaduna must remain firmly aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to protect developmental strides already secured.

He assured the party officials of his unwavering commitment to unity, development, and inclusive governance across the eight Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District.
