DASH CMD Pledges Stronger Collaboration with Primary Healthcare Department

The Chief Medical Director of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) Akwanga, Dr. Esala E. Abene, has assured the Primary Healthcare Department of Akwanga Local Government Council of his commitment to sustaining the longstanding collaboration between the two healthcare bodies.

Dr. Abene gave this assurance when the Director of Primary Healthcare led a team of staff on a courtesy visit. He stated that the partnership would grow stronger than ever before, noting that with the transformation of the former Akwanga Model Hospital into DASH, there are now higher expectations from the community

The CMD further emphasized that the hospital would continue to manage referral cases from all 53 primary healthcare centers within Akwanga Local Government Area.

Dr. Abene  expressed appreciation to the Primary Healthcare team for the visit and for seeking sustained collaboration, acknowledging the importance of the information shared regarding their activities.

Speaking earlier, the Director of Primary Healthcare, Muktar Abdullahi, said the purpose of the visit was to appreciate the CMD and his management team for their quality leadership. 

He also advocated for sustained collaboration between the primary healthcare system and DASH, particularly in the areas of immunization and malaria control, describing the hospital as their primary referral center.
