Nigerian Education Loan Fund Disburses N32.14m to 750 FCE Gombe Students

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦32.142 million to 750 students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe.

The agency announced the disbursement on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle over the weekend. The funds, released in August, are part of NELFUND's ongoing initiative to ease access to tertiary education by covering tuition and upkeep costs for eligible undergraduates.

In its post on Saturday, NELFUND stated that the college confirmed receipt of the funds in an acknowledgement letter dated September 2, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Provost, Dr. Mohammed Guzali Abdulhamid.

This latest payment is part of a wider rollout of funds to multiple institutions across Nigeria. NELFUND is scaling up operations under its student loan scheme, which was created to expand access to higher education, and has announced several large-scale disbursements to universities and colleges in recent months.

Established to administer interest-free loans, NELFUND continues to publish disbursement dashboards and social media updates to ensure transparency and keep beneficiaries informed. The fund encourages all eligible students who have not yet completed their applications or updated their details to do so promptly through its official portal.

The ₦32.14 million allocation for FCE (Technical) Gombe will be distributed to the beneficiaries through the college's authorized channels and is designated to cover both tuition fees and upkeep entitlements for the current academic session.
