By: Abubakar Labaran.
The Member National Assembly Jema'a and Sanga Constituency, Honourable Daniel Amos has condemned in strong terms on how the peace of Ungwan Kaninkon, Mile 1 of Kaninkon Chiefdom was shattered late yesterday evening following an unprovoked attack that claimed the life of one of its residents, Musa Shock, a hardworking youth.
In statement made available to Newsmen by the Mr Victor Teh Dabo the Media aide to Honorable Daniel Amos, the Legislator said "This sad and condemnable incident is a painful reminder of the challenges we continue to face in safeguarding our communities".
Honourable Daniel Amos added that "I deeply regret this unfortunate loss of life and extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the entire U/Kaninkon community, His Highness, Tum Nikyob and the people of Jema’a LGA. At a time like this, I urge our people not to take laws into their own hands, but rather to remain calm and law-abiding. Retaliation only deepens wounds and worsens the cycle of violence".
He called on the government, through the security agencies, to immediately investigate this heinous act, bring the perpetrators to book, and restore confidence in the safety of the people.
He said Jema’a and Sanga deserve peace, and those who choose the path of violence must face the full weight of the law.
"Let us remain united, vigilant, and committed to the values of peace and brotherhood, confident that justice will be done and peace will prevail." The Law maker concluded.
