In a continued effort to promote lasting peace in Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Executive Chairman, Honourable Peter Tanko Dogara, has organized a football competition featuring all twelve wards of the area.
Speaking to journalists at the event, Chairman Dogara stated that the competition was designed not only to foster normalcy and unity but also to provide exposure for the local youth and create opportunities for recognition by national leagues and professional scouts.
Dogara announced that the tournament would also be used to select a first and second team to represent Jema'a Local Government in future football competitions.
He noted that the event has already delivered exciting matches and created a vital platform for the area's numerous young talents to showcase their skills.
"The competition has lived up to its expectations," the Chairman added. "It is igniting passion among players, uniting our communities, and strengthening our drive for youth development in Jema’a.”
The opening ceremony featured a match between Takau Ward and Kaninkon Ward, which ended in a goalless draw.
