Nasarawa SDGs Emphasize Punctuality, Commitment in Skills Training Programme

By Joshua Agili

Management and staff of the Nasarawa State Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) met with selected women last Wednesday during an orientation session for the SDGs’ skills acquisition training programme.

Ahmed Tsaku, Head of the Technical Project Support Unit (PSU) and representative of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, urged trainees to maintain punctuality and commitment throughout the training. He emphasized close monitoring by the SDGs office to ensure participants acquire essential skills in facial makeup and gele tying.

Mr. Tsaku explained that the SDGs office is committed to providing sustainable skills to youth, particularly women and vulnerable individuals, to improve their financial standing. He warned that undedicated trainees would be replaced to ensure program effectiveness.

Additionally, he urged adherence to the organization’s rules and regulations, encouraging trainees to become ambassadors of the SDGs initiative. Tsaku reaffirmed the office’s commitment to providing robust starter packs to help graduates establish their businesses.

Other SDGs staff echoed these sentiments, highlighting the privilege of selection and detailing long-term benefits of the programme, including enhanced economic opportunities.
