Honourable Ali Kalat Honored with Meritorious Service and Excellence Award by COEASU

Honourable Ali Kalat, Member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Jema'a Local Government Area and Minority Leader, has been awarded the Meritorious Service and Excellence Award by the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya Chapter.  

The award recognizes Honourable Kalat’s exceptional legislative contributions and dedication to the development of education in Kaduna State. According to the organizers, the honor reflects his outstanding performance and commitment to public service.

In his response, Honourable Kalat expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a heartwarming acknowledgment of his efforts to support the institution’s growth. He pledged that the award would motivate him to further contribute to the college’s development and the broader educational sector.  

Speaking to journalists after receiving the award, Kalat commended Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to advancing education in the state. He also addressed the poor condition of the road leading to the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, from the Kafanchan-Gidan Waya main road.  

Kalat revealed that he had consistently advocated for the road’s completion, including during the last budget deliberations, but progress has yet to be made. He emphasized that completing the road would significantly benefit the college community and earn widespread appreciation from residents across the state.  

Despite the challenges, Honourable Kalat vowed to continue pushing for the road’s rehabilitation, underscoring its importance to the college and the surrounding Communities
