Kano Government seeks cooperation from Stakeholders following court of appeal judgement

 The Kano State Government has urged all relevant authorities, institutions, and individuals to fully comply with the recent Court of Appeal judgment, resolving the long-standing dispute over Emirate Council reforms. At a press conference held at the NUJ Press Centre in Kano, top government officials emphasized the need for strict adherence to the ruling.

The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, overturned earlier Federal High Court decisions, upholding the legality of the Kano State Government's actions on chieftaincy appointments and traditional institution restructuring. The government stressed that the judgment validates its reforms and sets a precedent for respecting constitutional boundaries in chieftaincy affairs.

The government called on all stakeholders to respect the judgment, ensuring peace, harmony, and the rule of law in the state. They reiterated their commitment to fostering unity and development in Kano, emphasizing cooperation among all parties involved.
